The vessel needed a new, modern steering and power that FPS custom designed and built.

The Talley’s vessel Eagle was operating an old system that was becoming obsolete and when they attempted to fix it, there was more damage done to the pump.

FPS not only designed and built a new, modern hydraulic steering and power system for the vessel, but they included a design for a twin system that provides a backup steering system for the primary one should it go down. Now, a single power unit operates two steering systems and the Eagle has a customised system that safeguards against any issues.

FPS also installed the unit and integrated it with the Eagle’s existing manual system, which included a specialised level of expertise the FPS team was able to provide.
