FPS's customised Systemcare contracts offer you peace of mind while minimising your downtime and maximising your component life.
We work in partnership with you to maintain and service your equipment, reducing downtime, lowering maintenance costs, increasing filter life, increasing component and fluid life, and improving safety.
There is a range of Systemcare contracts available. If the packages available do not suit your needs, we have the capabilities to develop one to suit you.
Under the Systemcare contract, FPS take responsibility to service equipment at the appropriate intervals, ensuring clients get the maximum lifetime from machinery and equipment with the minimum possible downtime.

Oil Analysis and Conditioning
To keep your machinery running effectively, it is critical that oil condition be analysed and understood. FPS provides a range of oil testing methods for a variety of industries.
A Systemcare contract can include the following oil analysis and conditioning services:
Oil analysis to understand the condition of the oil being analysed and the condition of the equipment involved with detailed diagnostic reports

SystemCare Case Study:
Talley’s Marine
Talley’s has called on FPS to carry out oil analysis and monitoring of its nine fishing vessels on a quarterly roster.
The team carries out oil sampling across each vessel’s entire hydraulic system including the pumps, valves and motors.
“It’s important we do this regularly – it means the equipment and componentry lasts a lot longer, reducing overall costs long-term. It also reduces filter costs as they’re changed as required rather than on a fixed schedule. Once the analysis is complete, the FPS team provides Talley’s shore engineers with a comprehensive report outlining any recommendations. “Sometimes oil filtration may be required using an oil spectro analysis machine, filters replaced, or in extreme cases, we may need to replace all the oil and clean out the tank. Our monitoring also picks up any issue in the system that may be associated with the pumps, motors and controllers that need to be addressed.”

SOUTHPINE AND FPS GO WAY BACK
South Pine was one of FPS’ first customers when it first started out over 20 years ago and has been providing engineering expertise ever since.
South Pine is one of the country’s largest timber manufacturers. The FPS team provides critical back up for their team on the ground there by offering engineering support through the Systemcare maintenance contract, which offers regular servicing of machinery and equipment for the minimum possible downtime.
In the last nearly two decades, South Pine Ltd has more than doubled its production – cutting more than twice as much as it used to in its sawn log capacity.
With increasing production overtime, it has become even more important for South Pine to service their heavy saw milling equipment regularly. It operates in a challenging and demanding environment. With all the dust and dirt, it can be quite hard to keep the equipment clean.
The Systemcare maintenance schedule means they find contamination in the hydraulic systems as soon as it occurs. The contracted monthly checks means that if issues arise, FPS engineers come out specially to solve the problem – fast.
South Pine and FPS have also recently completed a major project upgrading the manufacturer’s twin band hydraulic system, which is used for primary log breakdown.
